
Meltem Ökmen
Born in Ankara in 1974, Meltem Ökmen graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Business Administration in 1995.
In August 1995, she started working as a Management Trainee at Garanti Bank within the scope of the BEST (Efficiency Strategy in Retail Banking) Project.
She continued her banking career as a specialist at Finansbank AŞ Ankara Branch in 1996. During this period, she undertook the task of portfolio development in the newly established Retail Banking Unit. In 1998, she was part of the founding team of the Ostim Branch as Assistant Manager.
In 1999, she was appointed as the Manager of the Kızılay Gima Store Branch, which was selected as a pilot branch within the 'Store-in-Store Branch' concept within the Gima Stores group in the retail sector. After 1.5 years, as a result of the successes achieved in this branch, it was decided to open branches in all Gima Stores; she actively participated in the selection and training of the personnel who would work in these branches.
Following her tenure as Branch Manager at Finansbank, she left banking in 2005 and entered the education sector.
She was involved in the establishment of Bilmek Education and Consulting Ltd. She personally undertook the design of a 1,000 m² detached building in Ankara's Ümitköy district, including 9 classrooms, a library, and a canteen, as a training center, and obtained the necessary permits from the Ministry of National Education. Simultaneously, she provided language learning, vocational training courses, and personal development training at the Deulcom International Franchise. During this period, she provided training to corporate firms in addition to individual participants.
In 2007, Ökmen moved to Istanbul and received a certificate as an IYOP Trainer from the Mother and Child Education Foundation (AÇEV), becoming a volunteer instructor for the 'Young Women's Literacy Course'.
Between 2008 and 2009, she worked as a freelance trainer at QNB Finansbank AŞ, providing various trainings. After giving birth to her son Deniz in 2009, she took a break from her professional life for a while.
Since 2011, she has been providing training at Arma Training and Consulting Center on topics such as Communication Skills, Super Bank Simulation, Sales and Relationship Management, Presentation Skills, Coaching, Sales and Portfolio Management, Learning Agility, Emotional Intelligence, Presentation Skills, Trainer Training, and Feedback.
