Doruk Gencer

Doruk Gencer began his banking career at Koçbank in 1993 after graduating from TED Ankara College and Middle East Technical University.

 

After approximately 1.5 years of experience, Doruk started the Master's Program in Business Administration at Bilkent University, completing it in 1997. Following this, he joined the Interbank Management Trainee program in 1996.

 

During his 4 years at Interbank, he worked in Corporate and Commercial Banking. After completing his military service in 2000, he moved to Garanti Bank in the same year, starting at the Ankara Corporate Branch. During his 8 years at Garanti, he served as Branch Manager, Corporate Banking Manager, Regional Loans Manager, and Branch Manager.

 

While at Garanti Bank, he coached and mentored the bank's Management Trainee candidates.

 

In 2012, he became the Yenişehir Branch Manager at ING Bank; Immediately afterwards, he assumed the position of Corporate and Commercial Banking Group Manager at OdeaBank's Ankara Corporate Branch.

 

During his tenure at OdeaBank, with the Bank's approval, he taught the 'Marketing in Banking' course within the scope of Başkent University's TOBB Executive MBA Program for two terms.

 

In 2014, again with the Bank's approval, he took on the role of Country Manager for Turkey at esports.cz, a Czech-based company. Within the scope of this one-year project, he established and trained a nationwide team of 30 people to implement a live blog broadcast project of the Turkish Basketball League.

 

In 2017, he was appointed Group Manager responsible for Restructuring and Non-Performing Loans in the Corporate and Commercial Banking Business Unit at OdeaBank General Directorate.

 

In 2021, he started working at World Business Lenders LLC, an American-based company, as a Senior Manager in the areas of Credit Allocation and Non-Performing Loans and served on the company's Management Committee. During his time at this institution, he contributed to the company's process improvements and training design. He has been conducting trainings within the Arma Education and Consulting Center since 2025.

 

Gencer, who is currently a member of the Turkish Education Association, the TED Ankara College Alumni Association, and the TED Ankara College Sports Club Supervisory Board, is the father of 15-year-old Demir.
