Born in Izmir in 1973, Berna Özdüzen graduated from Ankara Science High School and then from the Middle East Technical University, Department of Food Engineering. While pursuing her master's degree in the same department, she began working part-time at Garanti Bank.

 

Following graduation, Özdüzen started working at Garanti Bank as a Commercial Operations Officer, and a year later became a Commercial Banking Portfolio Officer. After two years in this role, she was appointed as a SME Banking Portfolio Manager.

 

After 7 years of branch experience, she was appointed as the Regional Marketing Manager for SME Banking in the Western Black Sea, Central Anatolia, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia Regions, managed from Ankara. During her 5 years in the region, she supported and coached portfolio managers in tracking regional and branch targets and achieving these targets, also participating in customer visits when necessary.

 

Appointed as Branch Manager in 2007, Özdüzen continued in this role in a total of 5 different branches in Ankara for the next 10 years until her retirement.

 

During his time in banking, he provided internal training in Basic Banking, Pricing, and Sales.

 

After his banking career, Özdüzen managed the finances of his family's businesses, and since the same year, he has also served as an expert witness at the Ankara Courthouse, holding a certificate he obtained while continuing his banking career.

 

Joining Arma in 2018, Özdüzen continues to work as an instructor and also serves as Arma's Ankara representative. Some of the topics he teaches include Basic Banking, Pricing, Sales and Portfolio Management, Remote Customer Management, Negotiation in Sales, and Branch Management for Branch Manager Candidates.

 

For a long time, Özdüzen has been a volunteer teacher at the School Support Association, which aims to support and help motivated middle school students attending state schools in Turkey realize their potential, and he conducts these trainings for half a day every week.

 

Özdüzen, who also holds the ACC title, is most passionate about gardening and his 22-year-old son, Emre.
