Cüneyt Örmen

Cüneyt Örmen was graduated from Boğaziçi University's Department of Civil Engineering in 1992. Following his graduation, he went to the United States and completed an MBA program with a focus on finance at San Diego National University. Returning to Turkey in 1994, Örmen began working as a Management Trainee (MT) at Garanti Bank.

After completing his MT program, he worked in the Corporate Coordination, Regional Management, and Financial Institutions units until the end of 1997. At the end of that year, due to family reasons, he took a two-year break from his banking career to support their newly established family textile company.

In 1999, he returned to Garanti Bank, resuming his previous role in the Corporate Banking Coordination Unit. His responsibilities included targeting the corporate branches, identifying branch needs, presenting projects to the General Directorate, and preparing and defending branch credit proposals in committees.

In 2004, he was appointed Branch Manager of Garanti Bank's Tuzla Leather Free Zone Branch. After working at this branch for two years, he was appointed as Branch Manager at the Kartal Branch. During his two-year tenure at this branch, he led sales teams serving mass, individual, SME, and commercial customer segments.

In 2009, he was appointed as Unit Manager responsible for Sales and Marketing at Garanti Filo, a subsidiary of the Bank. In this role, he primarily focused on integrating the company with the bank's organization; he carried out activities and studies aimed at increasing sales and marketing synergy.

At the end of 2010, he was appointed as Unit Manager of Strategy Development and Marketing at Garanti Financial Leasing Inc. During his tenure at Garanti Financial Leasing, he was responsible for working with senior management to determine the company's three-year strategic goals, coordinating with them, monitoring KPIs, and presenting them to the board of directors. In addition, he worked with business units and regions to increase sales through the bank's sales channel. During the same period, organizing campaigns to increase sales in branches and portfolios was also within his area of ​​responsibility. Later, the more active use of the company's social media channels was added to these responsibilities.

In 2014, he was appointed Head of the Treasury and Financial Institutions Unit at Garanti Financial Leasing. He managed the company's short-medium-long term borrowings, contract negotiations, increasing the number of domestic and international creditors and expanding relationships, conducting "due diligence" meetings for company promotion, contacting rating agencies on behalf of the company, and managing the company's cash flow.

Örmen resigned from his position at Garanti in early 2017 and joined Arma Education and Consulting Center that same year. Interested in permaculture, Örmen is the father of 22-year-old Akın.
