Mustafa was graduated from Ankara University Faculty of Educational Sciences in 1994. Immediately after graduation, he participated in a one-year volunteer program at Camphill Devon Community in England, which provides education, self-care, and social services for individuals with intellectual disabilities.

 

After returning to Turkey and completing his military service, Çolak started his professional life in 1997 as a Credit Portfolio Officer at Garanti Bank Istanbul 4th Region Commercial Loans Directorate. For 4 years, he was responsible for preparing financial analysis reports, evaluating proposals from branches, and risk management.

 

At the end of 2000, he transferred to Koç Consumer Finance Company as a Special Loans Specialist. His responsibilities included determining and implementing consumer loan and smart card scoring strategies. During his time at Koç Finance, he provided training in credit analysis and financial analysis.

During his MBA (Finance) at Yeditepe University, Çolak joined Garanti Leasing in 2002 as a Credit Manager in the Credits Department. He worked on leasing and factoring credit analysis reports, credit establishment, and risk management. At the beginning of 2005, he became the Ankara and Eastern Anatolia Regional Marketing and Sales Manager. During this period, he was responsible for managing and training the sales team in Central Anatolia, Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia, and the Black Sea Regions. In 2007, he moved to the Western Anatolia Region in Bursa with the same role.

 

In the early days of 2008, Çolak transferred to ABN Amro Financial Leasing as Regional Sales Manager, responsible for the Istanbul Anatolian Side and Black Sea Regions. During this time, the Vendor Leasing channel also came under his responsibility. Until 2018, Çolak worked as a Regional Manager first at Deniz Financial Leasing and then at Vakıf Financial Leasing. He then joined the Arma family, where he provided training on Sales, Sales Management, Risk Management, Portfolio Management, and Financial Analysis.

 

Returning to corporate life in early 2020, Çolak worked as a Credit Allocation and Asset Manager at Alternatif Financial Leasing until 2023, after which he returned to Arma.

 

Married with two children, Çolak enjoys mountaineering and skiing. His greatest passion is sailing with his boat. A member of the Amateur Sailors Association, Çolak organizes social trainings and activities with mountain and sea themes.
